As report last week by Fangoria.com and others websites, legendary director and master of the Zombies flicks George A. Romero is now in the Under the Scares roster. Therefore Under the Scares director Steve Villeneuve was looking for a Zombie Flick to support the Romero’s words. ” I was looking for zombie footage to support the Romero interview. So I called my sales agents at Raven Banner Entertainment to ask them if he know film that can fit in UTS. He didn’t hesitated and showed me Dead Genesis. I dug it and I email the director.”
In 2001, Jarrett Mann and is team started the Montreal Spasm Film Festival. Next October, they will celebrate Spasm 10th anniversary. Last Friday, Spasm hosted an outside event and announced “Les Vendredi Spasm” (The Spasm Friday’s). On Friday September 9th, a special “Public choice award 2002-2010” event will be presented and our short film Dead Pussy will be screened to represent the 2009 Best thriller award.
Under the Scares will be screened at the Razor Reel Fantastic Film Festival Bruges. Razor Reel has been active in the world of genre movies for many years. The website: www.razorreel.be is a worldwide reference. At the end of October 2008 a surprising own film festival was presented in the centre of Bruges. For five days movies and short movies were shown.
Under the Scares will be screened at the first ever Flint Horror Con. Saturday, October 29th, 2011 Flint, Michigan will be host to its first horror convention – Flint Horror Con. They offer an inexpensive destination for fans of horror and the macabre and have a full day of movies and fun planned. The Flint Horror Con will be held at downtown Flint’s historic Masonic Temple from 12PM – 10PM and we will have movies, guests, vendors, and more on hand.
